Why a Blog? Why Now?

I've finally decided to jump into the Blogging world (or is that Blogsphere?)

You'd think it's a natural fit - well if you knew me that is - considering that I like to write, I'm fairly outspoken, and I have been working with web technologies since the days of Mosaic and Netscape 1.0. (My geek cred doesn't quite extend to using Lynx - never much liked it - but I did much of my early HTML authoring using "vi" through telnet.)

There are enough rambling personal commentaries out there, so I'll TRY to avoid adding to the list.

I hope, over time, to use this space as a repository for my thoughts and links to resources about education and learning (with technology). Being a huge sports fan, I may offer the odd commentary on the state of various popular pass-times. And to make sense of the namesake for this BLOG (Thoreau-ly Confused) I will often point to current events, political issues, or the writings of others that intrigue, excite, or just plain confuse me.
